NEWS, EVENTS, RESOURCES AND MORE
As much as we love heading out to take part in conferences and expositions in other states, there’s something about staying close to home and connecting with fellow Oregonians in the construction and forestry industry that makes the conference that much better.
Your dedicated Papé team is excited to take part in the 77th annual Oregon Logging Conference. From Feb. 19 to Feb. 21 in the Lane County Fairgrounds of Eugene, you can find us proudly showing off our gold sponsorship! As an exhibitor, we’ll be showcasing forestry equipment, logging tools and much more. We’re thrilled by how far the timber industry has come and how it will continue to grow.
Oregon logging in general has a lush history of innovation and using technology to bring lumber to consumers. The timber industry ramped up In the 1890s when lumber companies took advantage of new railroad technology. Using only raw materials, lumberers built networks of temporary tracks to the woods. They employed steam powered donkey (a misnomer, no actual donkeys were used) engines and hauled logs from the forest to the locomotives. From there, logs would be processed at nearby mills.
Fast forward a few short years to 1938. After moving to Oregon to work with his good friend in an Allis-Chalmers dealership, E.C. Papé struck out on his own and developed the Papé brand. From that first capital equipment dealership, Papé grew steadily every year by acquiring more and more lines of products.
The 2015 Oregon Logging Conference celebrates this history of innovative solutions to timber industry problems by putting logging, forestry, trucking and heavy equipment professionals together for three days of seminars—held both inside and outdoors.
Join us for three days of key note speakers, displays, and networking with likeminded timber industry professionals.
