How We Built a Home in an Hour with Habitat for Humanity

In the spring of 2015, your friends at Papé—and six other local businesses—teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to raise $35K to build a new house for a deserving family right here in Oregon.

But we set a lofty goal for ourselves: to raise the money to build this house in only one hour.

We were fortunate to not just contribute financially, but we also donated the use of specialized equipment like compact excavators, dozers, and backhoes. We live, work and play here, and we were honored to team up with HFH on this exciting project that benefitted a local family.

The idea for the project rested on HFH's central theme: Everyone deserves a decent, safe, and affordable place to live. Based on this, HFH helps build simple, decent and affordable homes for well-deserving families across the globe. HFH works in conjunction with partner companies, like us, to continually improve its building process as well as quality of their homes.

The effects on the community are profound as they help support neighborhood growth and build stability. Tanya Powell of Windermere Real Estate commented, "For me, it reminds us that we're not just here working to make a living, but we're also here to share a community with the people who live with us." We couldn’t agree with her more.

As one of the largest equipment suppliers in the West, we maintain a huge inventory of machinery—from agricultural equipment to forestry equipment in Oregon, Washington and California. Whether you're harvesting a crop, working deep in the forest, or building a house to support your community, we're proud to have the service, financing, and parts you need.
