Celebrating Generations of Farming Families with the Papé Generations Photo Contest

Family owned businesses aren’t just the heart of the heartland—they’re legacies passed down from generation to generation. As a fourth generation family owned business, Papé understands the pride and connection farming families have to their land and each other. To celebrate this special bond, we created a unique giveaway for our Facebook followers to say “Thank You” for their dedication and commitment to their farms.

The Giveaway
From September 9th through October 23rd, our Facebook followers were invited to share their farming family stories. The giveaway rules were simple: submit a photo representing your multi-generational farming family and caption it with a short description to win Papé and John Deere merchandise.  Our contest had 4 winners who all received assorted prize packages full of Papé machinery and John Deere merchandise.

We’ve poured over the existing entries and are amazed by the love and dedication we’ve seen in each photo and story. We’ve never been more proud to share a community with such hardworking farming families. From proud grape farmers in Yakima Valley to 5th generation fledgling farmers in Nevada, we’re honored to read so many heartfelt stories.

Papé’s History
Our legacy began in 1938 when E.C Papé started his own business in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. From there, business boomed as Dean and Ed Papé introduced the rubber-tired skidder to the market from 1965-1969. Now under the leadership of Jordan Papé, we’re expecting many more years of growth and connecting with farming families all over the west.

At Papé, farming has always been as much about family as it has been about hard work. Connect with us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up-to-date with future contest giveaways and other Ag & Turf news.
