The 2018 Estacada Timber Festival will take place on July 4th at PGE Timber Park in Estacada, Oregon celebrating the state’s long history of logging. The event is one of our favorites and we’re excited to be a sponsor again this year. Take a look at the highlights below - you won’t want to miss this!
Timber Competition
The heart of the festival - the lumberjack competition - kicks off at noon with individual events including Pole Climbing, Hot Saws, Chainsaw Show Offs, 50/50 Axe Throw, Jack & Jill Competition, and the Log Pond Roll Off. Many of the areas local loggers will be competing for the coveted titled of Top All Around Logger.
Virtual Reality Booth
If you’ve always wondered what it’s like to operate logging equipment, be sure to visit the Papé booth to try out our virtual reality headset. The 360° experience gives you a close up look at forestry equipment in action.
Festival Eats
Beers, Brats, and all your favorite festival foods will be served up by vendors located throughout the park. No tailgating, BBQing or outside alcohol is allowed, but attendees are welcome to bring a cooler to picnic at the event.
Live Music
After the timber competition, festival attendees can stick around to enjoy live music beginning at 4:45 PM. The 2018 lineup includes local favorites, The Ron Carnes Band, O Brother, and Thunder Road.
Fireworks
Celebrate Independence Day at the Estacada Timber Festival with a fireworks display beginning at 10PM. The Big Bang fireworks show has been called “the best fireworks show in the state” by our Facebook fans and we happen to agree!
There’s so much to see and do at the 2018 Estacada Timber Festival. We look forward to seeing you there!
